The Adaptec 2-port SAS RAID controller supports 0, 1 and 10 RAID levels. It has two internal mini SAS 12 Gbps HD ports and PCI Express 3.0 x8 interface. It offers quick initialization, online capacity expansion, dynamic caching algorithm, copyback hot spare, native command queuing and background initialization. It provides hot-plug drive support, RAID level migration, automatic/manual rebuild of hot spares and SES as well as SAF-TE enclosure management. The RAID controller offers support for tape devices, autoloaders and secure boot support for the uEFI host bios. It works with Microsoft Windows®, Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux, Fedora, Debian Linux, Ubuntu Linux, Sun Solaris, FreeBSD and VMware ESXi operating system.
